Another sentence that I agreed with was: “Transfats which are commonly found in fast food have been shown in many tests to have a negative health effect on the body.” This quote stood out to me because I’m overweight myself and I feel that fast food has contributed to my disease. I’m a human being who enjoys eating fast food but unlike me, some people have the luxury of eating what they want without gaining a pound. Consuming big amounts of transfat has caught up to me.

I feel that if fast food is effecting million of people then it should be eliminated. I double-checked this fact in http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn9318, which makes me feel pretty sure that it is true. This article describes a study in which “monkeys fed a diet rich in trans-fats - commonly found in fast foods - grew bigger bellies than those fed a diet rich in unsaturated fats, but containing the same overall number of calories.”
